So I blinked and it's almost Halloween (a holiday I'm not too fond of, by the way).
Seems like only yesterday I was welcoming people on the first day of school.
Every year goes by faster than the one before it.
It's easy to look at this negatively - more gray hairs, lbs that don't come off as easy as they used too, falling asleep at 9.
Then you see all the young people at school rushing through their youth, dying to graduate and be adults, and you are reminded that it's ok to slow down, to find a few minutes or an hour a day to think and appreciate where you're at.
As for my specific problem with Halloween? I'm not really sure.
The kids in their costumes are cute enough. And who doesn't like candy?
I also like a good horror movie now and then, although lately it's been more then than now.
I still don't care for Halloween, but I do love the fall season.
As for aging, my opinion on the matter remains "optimistically mixed".
