NY Notes: Day 2

Yesterday I lunched (knoshed?) at a kosher deli, and was pleasantly surprised by the bowl of assorted  pickles that accompanied the corned beef on rye. Not the best corned beef I’ve ever had, but definitely the best corned beef experience I’ve had.

From there I wandered around Central Park where I encountered Al Franken waiting for a cab. He was knee-deep in a conversation having to do with the history of the area (evidently, Al spent a good part of his childhood in New York, which I didn’t know).

I’ve never been one of those people to bother, let alone acknowledge, the presence of celebrity. I did snap a quick photo with my iPhone, if for no reason other than to have something interesting to post here and on Facebook.
